Motoqoma/Iibbaalla Hot Spring
This naturally gifted hotspring is foud in Kambata Tembaro Zone, Adilo Zuria Woreda, and Odame kebele. The hotspring is serving for medication and recreational purpose. It is located around Ababa Wakero residence area and conserved forest.
Gemesha Hot Spring
This hotspirng is foud in Kambata Tembaro Zone, Kacha Bira Woreda, and Gemesha kebele. The hotspring is serving for medication and recreational purpose. The hotspring is set at Durame-Shinshicho-Hadero main road and it is very much suitable and accessible.
Degele Sycamore
This natural, and historical and cultural tree or warka in Amharic and odeechcho in local language is located in the center of Mudula, administrative town of Tembaro woreda. The typical tree is told to be more than 350 years old. This tree is used for different purposes in the past. The shed of the tree was a place where political, spiritual, social and other issues were discussed and decisions were carried out. Elders of Tembaro used the shade to solve the problems arise in the society. For instance disputes could not be resolved with the local elders were set here on very simple manner. There for the site served as place or venue for judicial system. The grand holiday, Meskel festival was declared at Degale. This done on the first Thursday of every September. This is the day on which marketing in Mudula town takes place. Today, the shade of the tree is serving as center of market where butter, honey and other commodities are sold.
Lammo Natural Forest
This natural resource is located in Tembaro woreda Sigezo kebele, 61 kilometers away from Durame. This forest is a residence for various flora and fauna. It is the most suitable area for visitors since it is near to the administrative town of Tembaro woreda, Mudula.
Ajora Stelae
There are more than 10 stelea in Kambata Tembaro zone. Most of these stalea are found in Hadaro Tunto Zuria Woreda. The three stelae found in Ajora Molla kebele are ones mentioned among these. These are located on the enterance of the Natural Bridge and on the way to Ajora twines waterfalls and Sarobira lansdcape.
Azga Rock Art
These are rock carvings found in Hambaricho wassera kebele, Angecha woreda. The carvings depict the picture of domestic animals. The rock carvings are drawn on the right bank of a small river called Azga, Gojame village. Addis Ababa University and National Heritage Study and Conservation Authority have been conducting the study. Other concerning bodies are also conducting similar studies; accordingly, some result is expected.
Dawa cave
The name ‘Dawa’ came from Kambatissa language which means ‘mixed’ or ‘stratified’. This is because during the times of adversity, people came from many frontiers were mixed there and as a result, could not be possible to identify one from the other. It is told that people in the past used the cave for residence during the times of adversity.
Sodicho cave
The cave is found in Sodicho Kebele, 12 kilometers away from Hadero town. The cave was used as a shelter for the residents in the area during the era of war. The people in the past used the cave to hide themselves and their property from the attack of enemies hundreds of years ago.
Covenant Stone
There are historical and cultural tourist attractions on the top of Hambaricho mountain. One is ancient Kambata leaders’ covenant stone called ‘Hidiri kinu’
777 Staircase
Stair case constructed starting at the place locally known as Faarsi Gabbaraancho, makes the journey to the top of the mountain makes easy and safe, and provides with additinational enjoyment to the visitor. The stair case constitutes 777 stages. The 777 stair case has natural historical and cultural value and interrelated linkage with Kemabata people and mount Hambaricho. The stair case is said to be one of the longest stair cases in Ethiopia as well as in Africa.
Hambaricho Mountain
Hambaricho is one of the top most mountains found in SNNPR State. The mountain is surrounded by wonderful chains of mountains and hills. Hambaricho is 3038 meters high above the sea level. Foot of the mountain is encircled by different features of landscapes, and further surrounded by natural forest especially bamboo, bushes, shrubs and others.
Natural bridge
The natural bridge ‘Yeigzer Dildy’ or ‘Buchchi Zaraa’mma’ in Kambatissa Language is one marvelous gift in Ajora route. It is formed naturally without any human contribution. The rivers from some areas of Kembata Tembaro and Hadiya Zones form Sana River and the river crosses through this bridge before draining to Omo River. The people around Ajora Kebele use this bridge to travel from one place to another. In addition to that, since it is natural, people use the grass that grows on and around the bridge for their cattle.
Sarobira Landscape
The land scape is the most magnificent picture of attractions in the area. One thing that makes the attraction the most majestic is that it is the place where the rivers and any kind of drainage system that flow from Kembata Tembaro zone and other neighboring areas, and meet to start new journey together to Omo River, include waterfalls formed around here and others.
Matana Waterfall
It is found in Kachabira woreda, Doreba kebele, which is 40 kilometers away from Durame, the administrative town of the zone. The fall is surrounded with different topographical features. Dense beautiful and attractive bushes, some tiny mountains, and steep and sloppy lands among others.
Ajora Waterfalls
The twins tremendous falls are found in Hadero Tunto Zuria Woreda, Ajora Molla kebele between Kembata Tembaro and Wolaita Zones. Ajora falls are found in Hadero Tunto Zuria woreda, Ajora Molla kebele, is 43 kilometers away from Durame, the administrative town of the zone. Not only are these but also there plenty of attractions found around the falls. Surely, this is very amazing and wonderful landscape to be visited.
